  • Continued Progress

    Jerry is in good spirits overall, and jokes with his grandkids when they visit. He also enjoys interacting with his caregivers and he is working on picking things up with his right hand. He is also able to stand and take a few steps now. Thank you for all of the continued prayers and support!

  • Back in Walla Walla!

    Jerry had a smooth discharge and transfer to Walla Walla today! He is settled in his new room at Park Manor, and he is comfortable and excited to have more food options outside of the hospital now. Thanks for all the prayers! Major blessings include: Ready to travel:

  • Discharge Plans

    Jerry was able to lift his right arm today, and he is able to feed himself too. They are preparing to hopefully discharge him tomorrow (Friday). Please pray that everything comes together smoothly for his transfer to Park Manor, which is a rehab facility in Walla Walla!

  • Small Steps

    Jerry continues to have visits from PT, OT and speech therapy along with the rest of the care team.   • Stable Condition

    Based on the latest CAT scan earlier today, the doctor would finally consider Jerry to be stable. The stroke is not progressing or swelling, and at this rate he may be released around the middle or end of this coming week.     It sounds like Jerry will remain in the hospital for continued observation until at least the first part of next week. As of today, he is able to lift his legs and communicate a little better.   • CAT Scan Results

    The CAT scan shows that the stent has partially failed, and the care team believes there is no further benefit from doing additional surgical procedures at this time. We don’t know yet whether things like speech or mobility will stay the same, or get worse, but it does not appear to be life threatening.
