On Tuesday, June 4 Jerry had stroke symptoms while at work and was transferred to the hospital. It was determined that he did in fact have a stroke, and he was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. After a blockage was surgically cleared he was stable and talking, but a little confused. Braden and Johanna along with Dianna and her brother Jay were able to spend time with him at the hospital that night.
On the morning of June 5 Jerry suffered another stroke while in the ICU, due to a blockage in the same area again. He had a second surgery and a stent was inserted this time. Now we are waiting to see how the recovery goes. He is able to slowly say some words, but is having trouble with communication and movement.
